The World’s Weather

Using examples from all over the globe, this program examines the different types of weather and climate, and looks at how weather affects the lives of people and the other organisms which share the planet. Divided into four main sections: Processes in the Atmosphere, Changing Seasons, Weather and Climate, and Life in Different Climate Zones. Each section incorporates photographs, drawings, video, and animation sequences which clearly explain each concept. The easy-to-use interface encourages the user to thoroughly explore the subject. At all stages, text and images can be extracted from the disc for students to use in their own work. Ideal for Science and Geography applications, the CD-ROM is accompanied by a wide range of student activity sheets, helping teachers integrate the program into the curriculum.
